SENIOR PASTOR
Rev. Dr. Gary L. Hughes is a native of Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Hughes accepted his call to ministry in 1997. For 11 years, he served as Associate Minister at the Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, PA, under the leadership of Dr. William H. Curtis. Dr. Hughes gained his ministry experience through assisting in morning worship services, preaching the Gospel, and conducting funerals. In 2009, Dr. Hughes was called to serve as Senior Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Sewickley, PA, before serving as Founder and Senior Pastor of Love Fellowship Ministries in Sewickley, PA.
In November 2018, Dr., Hughes was elected Senior Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Library, in South Park, PA.
Dr. Hughes holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Robert Morris University, a Master of Divinity Degree and a Doctor of Ministry Degree both from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. His doctoral work included a project entitled, "Do You Hear What I Hear?", a study in reader/listener response criticism.
Dr. Hughes is married to the former Denise R. Brundage and together they are the parents of one son and daughter and grandparents of six grandchildren.
